Training is delivered via blended approach (online training + face to face assessment).

Unit Duration: This unit is designed to be completed within up to 2 days.

Expected Study Hours: Typical learners are expected to spend up to 14 hours depending on existing knowledge, skills, and experience.

What will you learn in the TLIF0005?

This unit is designed to develop your skills and knowledge required for heavy vehicle drivers to manage fatigue and to work safely within the Transport and Logistics industry. Among others, you will learn to:

    • Identify and manage fatigue risk in the road transport sector
    • Operate within a road transport fatigue risk management system
    • Plan and navigate a heavy vehicle trip
    • Comply with work and rest hours
    • Update and maintain records

How is the unit structured?

All learners will be assessed through a combination of the following assessments methods:

    • Trainer demonstration + Return demonstration delivery
    • Scenario-based assessments
    • Practical skills demonstration assessments
    • Questioning – Written or Verbal

What are the entry requirements?

There are no pre-requisites to enter this training program. However, Eagle Training Academy screens students to at least have Year 10 English proficiency level or equivalent.

Eagle Training Academy will also check if you have access to all the resources required to complete the course. (See Course Resources section below)


What are the resources needed to complete the unit?

To support you in your new unit with Eagle Training Academy, we will provide the following:

  • To complete your unit, you will need ongoing access to the following:
